Gilda Caputo-Hansen, MBA, MPH(c) is the Chief Executive Officer of HGEM and President of the Global Community Hearts Division and gems.  A skilled executive with diverse experience in not-for-profit and profit industries, Gilda brings a contagious passion for helping organizations build stronger programs, processes, and efficiency.

After years of experience with various companies and diverse projects, Gilda and her husband, Matthew, decided to re-brand the family business into Hansen Global Event Management. As CEO, Gilda is responsible for leading and growing all facets of the company.

Gilda is widely recognized as a leader in public health community outreach and fundraising programs. Gilda is just months away from earning her Masters of Public Health degree from the City of New York (CUNY) Lehman College School of Public Health.

Gilda has worked on public health projects with the Association of Black Cardiologists, International Society of Hypertension in Blacks, American College of Cardiology, and most recently, she has been engaged by the World Hypertension League in the 1 Million Blood Pressure Challenge.

Prior to HGEM, she was responsible for community outreach programs, meetings,and exhibit services at the American Society of Hypertension (ASH). Under her leadership, she created and managed Blood Pressure Without Borders, a health mission to Montserrat in the Caribbean that screened island residents for blood pressure and created awareness of hypertension and other cardiovascular-related diseases for the last two years. Gilda has developed more than two dozen public health programs and has screened over 7000 people in the United States and abroad and produced medically approved education tools and organized in-service training for community clinics.

For the past three years, Gilda produced the Health & Wellness Village for the WCBS Radio Yankee Fan Fest that took place at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum in New York City, an event attended by more than 8,000 visitors per year.

Over the span of twenty five years, Gilda has worked at some noteworthy positions. At PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Gilda managed a $100 M meeting budget and 32-person department in organizing 1,000 meetings per year. Her efforts were recognized when she received the“Best Practitioner& Best Practice Model” award from Business Traveler and Meeting Management for leading the merger of two companies that led to more than $7 M savings per year.

An accomplished meeting planner, fund-raiser, and motivator, Gilda has worked with boards of directors, advisory boards,committees,and other organizations to build community programs.

Gilda earned her B.A.from Lafayette College and her MBA from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management, and is currently one semester away from earning her MPH degree at Lehman College. Gilda lives with her husband,Matthew, and their four children on Long Island.
