Joe Jordan, Ph.D., serves as the innovation practice manager for InnovateMEP Mississippi.
In this role, he provides leadership for the InnovateMEP Mississippi Innovation Engineering (IE) initiative, helping manufacturers increase innovation speed and decrease risk. He also coordinates the E3 (Economy, Energy and Environment) program, which focuses on sustainable manufacturing.
Joe has nearly 30 years of work experience in higher education at several different institutions and in a variety of roles, including teaching, research, outreach/extension and administration. This includes more than 12 years of full-time experience in university-based extension and outreach, developing and delivering educational programs and providing technical assistance and other services to businesses and industries. Most of this work was done at Mississippi State University, first with the Food and Fiber Center and later with the Industrial Outreach Service.
